trip to Solihull in may

hello,
I follow Christiane about our trip to Solihull .I was welcome by David Porter from Dorridge near Solihull ;he is a blind man ;during the W.E , his friend Maggie -blind women -escorted by her dog Lassy , stayed with us .
It has been a great experience .
David was waiting for me at Valerie and John's ( he is on the photo of Christiane ).
We met David and Sally Bell and talked about their trip to Cholet!
We took part in the various activities , these ones Christiane has talked about .
In the morning we had a long walk for Lassy ; We took the bus for Solihull ,the train to Warwick :
this one is said the finest mediaveal castle in England .In each room we can see real height persons made of wax .They are quiet living : Countess of Warwick trying a long dress on with her servant ;King Edward ;Lord Curzon ;Lord Roberts ;Countess Anne Dowager... Winston Churchill( 23 years old) etc... In the basement it's the same : horses ;soldiers ;blacksmith;women washing ,preparing dresses and linen etc ...there were demonstrations : trebuchet (french word) and bird flight etc...
My hosts have been marvellous ;I thank all our English friends for their welcome , but especially
David because receiving me , he trust me ; I must have disturbed his habits...He uses to travel ,to walk a lot :
Paris ;GR in France ,Wales ,England of course ,Nepal ,kilimandjaro ,Australia etc...he uses to cycle too . Maggie is a triathlon women ;she plays guitare and has a nice voice ,singing the Beatles etc...but writting some songs too .
