I think that these prices are a little expensive because it's not a touristic region and people must pay only for the castle (nothing to do or to visit all around). With 650 euros, you can found an interesting stay for 2 persons in foreign country (for example Tunisie, Maroc ...).

Personally, I wouldn't go to a B&B for a whole week. I presume that the price is for a week and not a night. I'd go just for a night or two. The price for a nice B&B that I'd be prepared to pay would be 65- 75 euros. Anything under that is a good deal.
I know you can get good offers with wonderbox now...but do you really know what you are going to get for your money!
Of course there are always cheap deals abroad. I think that British people are willing to pay for something special.
