Solihull now in Cholet !!!

We are having a lovely time with 7 guests from Cholet. They have been here since Tuesday night and unfortunately it's already time for them to head back off home today!! But what a wonderful time they have had!!

OK there has been a little rain this week with a few "May" showers however are groups been full of sunny smiles and friendly warmth as far as I'm concerned.

One day was spent around Cholet and different parks and another not far from Doué la Fontaine. I hope that I will be able to persuade an English visiter or French one to come and write something about this second day on the blog!!

Anyway, we finished it all off with a play that some of my students had prepared. It was pretty tiring but flipping good.

Cholet's gone to Germany too!!

A group of people from Cholet are in Germany right now at this very moment. Isn't twinning a good idea and a great way to meet new people. Long live the loyal twinners!!

It's a small world

Last weekend I was involved with another twinning visit although this time to Eppstein in Germany.

Whilst there I met some French people from Eppstein’s French twin town who were also visiting as part of a celebration of 50 years of the European Union.

It turns out that the twin town is Langeais which is only about 100km from Cholet and is near to Tours.

I have to say that I hadn’t expected to have to try and speak some French whilst visiting Germany!

We have spent an excellent stay in England.

All the visits were very interesting.

May visit

We had a lovely time in Solihull with our friends. We enjoyed our visit to England : warm welcome, superb visits, delicious meals, sunny weather ...

We had a good journey home.

These six days were a really great pleasure !

We are looking forward to seeing them again next year in Cholet.

When are they flying back?

This is just a quick post and the question is in the title. Just to say that if they are flying back on Thursday they might bump into my Mum.....as she's flying over to France on Thursday!!
