The Present Perfect

To use or not to use the Present Perfect!!

Do you know that the English don't even know what it is!!


Well let me give you an example:

I haven't been able to use my computer for a month

or since the start of August.

I wasn't able to use it for four weeks but it's ok now. This time is finished so we can use the Past simple.

Anyway it's tough stuff.

I had a lot of problems with my computer since 1 month but now it's O.K.

In August, we visited the wonderful town of Bourges (in the department of Cher)

Many beautiful monuments, museums, medieval houses and a big cathedral (on the photo)

Today it's cold and cloudy like in autumn !

I think that we were very lucky in the begining of May when we received our english friends from Solihull (summer weather !)
